+ 1 - 1 | § ¶Improve Windows Explorer Search
My friend Jon posted a pretty interesting blog entry on his site. In it he talks about how to make Windows Explorer actually go through and search through all your files when you use the "search" functionality. Right now it seems like it just searches files it thinks are "text." Too bad I don't use Windows unless I have to...+ 1 - 1 | § ¶Weekend of Top Tens
Game On 2.0 @ Museum of Science and IndustryOn Saturday, I went to the Game On 2.0 exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in downtown Chicago with Suzanne and group of friends. Not sure what the difference is between 2.0 (this year's event) and 1.0 (last year's event), but I had fun regardless.
Besides the Gaming exhibit we also took the opportunity to checkout some other exhibits in the museum. My favorites included the scale replica of Chicago trainset, with an el model train running through it. There was even a train running through some mountains, and it ended up in a scale repica of Seattle. In the moutains you could even see people hiking, camping, driving, being attacked by bears... (the model builder had a sense of humor!).
Here's my top 10 games from the exhibit:
1. Bomber Man on Saturn
2. Madden 2006 on Xbox
3. Super Mario Kart on Super Nintendo
4. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time on Gamecube
5. Gradius V for PSX
6. Pong
7. Soccer Game on PSX
8. Final Fantasy VI on PSX
9. Tetris for Gameboy
10. Animal Crossing for Gamecube

2006 Chicago Auto Show
On Sunday, I went to The Chicago Autoshow at McCormick Place. It was incredibly crowded, but I did get to check out some of the new and upcoming models. I've settled on getting a small SUV for my next car. It'll fit my long legs and any big stuff that Suzanne and I buy. Plus it'll eat up just as much gas as a mid-size sedan (which is what I was looking at before). My favorite right now is the Hyundai Tucson, but I'm open to others: GM/Pontiac, Ford, Toyota, etc...
Here's my top 10 from the show:
1. Dodge Challenger Concept
2. Jeep 2007 Compass
3. Hyundai Tuscon
4. Acura RDX Concept
5. Scion tC
6. Dodge Charger
7. Mazda CX7
8. Honda Civic 2007
9. Toyota Camary 2007
10. Toyota Rav 4 2007
Unfortunately I missed the Camero concept... don't know how I didn't see it! A big disappointment was the Dodge Caliber. It's an entry level car intended to replace the Neon. While I liked the concept, I found that the production car was a bit small for me and felt really cheap. I guess you can't ask for too much from a 14-16,000 dollar car.
