+ 1 - 1 | § ¶Another Lugradio mention!
I just got my email read (again) on my favorite podcast, LugRadio! Here's the email that I sent to them:- Hey guys,
Long time listener, 2nd time emailer (you guys made fun of my Debian love back in season 2). I'm enjoying your shows, keep up the good work!
I had a comment on your "Novell or Navel" show, specifically where you guys talk about innovation and research in the open source community. The first thing that came to my mind was Bittorrent! It has changed the way we use p2p and legitimized it in some respects... and it was all started as a research project by Brahm Cohen. The fact that he made it open source as well has allowed several clients to add innovation. Microsoft has even tried to mimic this tech with something called Avalanche in their research labs. Furthermore, there are now rumors that it will be included in OSX 10.5 Leopard as part of a way to compensate people for sharing their bandwidth via iTunes. It’s nice to see the proprietary software companies learning a thing or 2 from OSS! Can't wait to hear you guys ridicule me over this one :)
Good luck at Lugradio Live UK... Anxiously awaiting word of a possible Lugradio Live USA!
Regards,
Mike Labowicz

Every time I try to digg a story on digg.com using Firefox (1.5.0.2) and Debian Linux, I get redirected to: http://www.digg.com/digino. This has been a problem for over a month now. Its not an overall digg problem because I'm not having this problem with the version of Firefox on WinXP... I know the site is probably trying to stop spammers, but come on! Let the Linux users use the site!Update: I've upgraded to Firefox version 1.5.0.3, and now I'm not seeing the issue anymore. I guess it had something to do with the old version. Digg.com's tech support was nice enough to try and help me out by suggesting that I disable my extensions, they responded to me quick and were very helpful. Thanks guys!

I watched Crash with Suzanne yesterday. I really didn't know much about it other than it won the oscar for best picture of last year. Even with this knowledge, I was SHOCKED as to how good it was. The way it intertwines stories together with a similar theme (racism in LA) was very interesting. It provided commentary on a subject that's been covered to death, but it did it in a new way. It was definitely worth the queue spot on my netflix account... check it out :)+ 2 - 0 | § ¶No more AI.
American Idol just got rid of the only reason I watched their stupid show. I know that eliminations are based on viewer voting, but come on... crowds are stupid!+ 2 - 0 | § ¶1337

First off, I finally managed to iron out all the bugs with the site. Turns out, ver 1.30 RC2 of the pivot blogging software still had some bugs that needed to be worked out. Thanks to hansfn from the pivot development team for all the work that he put in tracking this down. Check out this forum post for more info. Another reason I use pivot, the best blogging software around!.
In some sad news, the first person who helped me get started with websites and blogging (like 8 or so years ago) is apparently turning his website into some sort of myspace portal
