It IS possible to get podcasts working on your ipod when only using Linux! Here's what I had to do (while using Debian "Etch"):- 1. Add the file to your ipod in gtkpod (I used version 0.99.8 - I'm assuming this step already works for you)
2. Right click on the newly added file and select "Edit Track Details"
3. Select "Skip when Shuffling" and "Remember Playback Position" in the General Tab
4. Click Ok
5. Save Changes to iPod database in gtkpod

My new linux based Intel storage server (Intel SS4000-E) came in today. I decided to get something like this for my home network so that I could have a backup and storage solution that would always be available... which will llow me to tinker a bit more with my workstation/main computer without risking any important content (wedding photos, music, etc). The most interesting thing about the device is that it runs a non-x86 intel processor. I'll post more after I get it up and running :)+ 1 - 1 | § ¶Frustration

And we let them off the hook!" - Dennis Green, Coach of the Arizona Cardinals during the post game press conference after the Arizona-Chicago game.
