+ 3 - 0 | § ¶Stranger than fiction

Suzanne and I saw Stranger than fiction this weekend. We both really liked the movie, and I can say that it is probably one of my favorite movies that I've seen this year. I thought all the characters were well played and I liked the fact that the movie did not try to explain why Harold Crick was hearing the author's voice in his head. My favorite scene was when Harold was eating lunch by himself and reading a calculator catalog... classic!

I'm not sure if there's a genre defined for this type of movie, but to me, it seems like this falls under a category I would describe as "melancholy comedies". Other movies that I would put in this group would be: "Garden State", "Punch Drunk Love" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". So if you liked any of those movies, there's a really good chance that you'll like this one :)

+ 2 - 1 | § ¶IT Crowd Season 2!

One of my favorite series, the IT Crowd has been picked up for a second season! Here's the text from a forum post with the great news:

Channel 4 has comissioned a second series of the IT crowd, the second series will be eight ep long and will air from early 2007

If you haven't seen this awesome show yet, be sure to find it online somewhere (or ask me for a copy to borrow). Think of it as a cross between the Office and an old school sitcom. Also there are plenty of cool geek references (RTFM, EFF, and that hard drive thingie on the floor)
